Hi, friends!
As I write this, it’s a crisp and sunshiny morning, the start of a perfect fall day. There’s a feeling of harvest beginnings, as ideas like seeds / sown with others last summer / come to fruition. We’re particularly excited about some upcoming collaborations: a paper marbling workshop with Connie Sherman, a photo walk with IA State of Mind, and an a/v experiment with DJ Caterwaul. We have several opportunities for you to make and share artwork as well: a call for art for an exquisite corpse exhibition, an open mic poetry & prose night, and a costume challenge to come as a well known artist or artwork. I’m reminded of something the late photographer Duane Michals once said: Trust that little voice in your head that says “Wouldn’t it be interesting if…” and then do it.
